Early Signs and Symptoms of Bell's Palsy

The onset of Bell's Palsy is typically rapid, and early recognition of its signs and symptoms is crucial for effective management. The most common symptom is sudden weakness or paralysis on one side of the face, which may cause the face to droop and make it difficult to close the eye on the affected side.

Other symptoms can include a decrease in the ability to taste, increased sensitivity to sound in one ear, and pain or discomfort around the jaw or behind the ear. Some people may experience drooling due to difficulty controlling facial muscles. Understanding these early signs is vital for seeking timely medical advice and beginning appropriate treatment.
